Along Smithfield Square, you won’t miss the imposing Jameson Distillery Bow Street building.
This is where John Jameson first took the step to distil whiskey in 1780. Since then, the distillery has focused on creating tasty whiskey and unforgettable experiences for all.
Jameson Distillery brings to life the rich heritage of the best-selling Irish whiskey in Ireland. Visitors can go for a 40-minutes tasting tour.
During the tour, you will learn about the distillation process, the high-quality ingredients used, and the constant innovation which ensures this whiskey continues to be enjoyed all over the world. You’ll then be able to give it a taste.
If you love whiskey, you could also join a 60-minute whiskey cocktail making class or a 90-minute whiskey blending masterclass. Make sure to book in advance though!
In County Cork, you can also visit the Jameson Distillery Midleton, which is where they now produce all their whiskey.
