Ideas For Visiting Ireland
Pick one of these tours and you’ll soon be immersed in stunning scenery and Irish heritage. The ideal getaway here includes time exploring the island’s cities and countryside.
We recommend experiencing the buzzing capital of Dublin before uncovering highlights of the Wild Atlantic Way and beyond. Imagine visiting ancient Celtic monuments, strolling among emerald green hills, and learning about Gaelic culture. And make sure to pop into a cosy Irish pub or two to listen to traditional live music.

The best part? You won’t have to do any planning, because your Nordic Visitor travel consultant will arrange everything before you arrive. All you need to do is book your flights to Ireland. We reserve your accommodation and rental car with trusted local partners.
Plus, we can arrange activities to fill your days with even more adventure. You’ll also have access to our 24/7 helpline should you need support during your trip.
Would you rather leave the driving to someone else?
If you'd prefer not to drive and would like a customisable Ireland tour, opt for a private tour of Ireland. You'll learn all about the Emerald Isle from your personal tour guide. Plus, you can choose your travel companions, and your travel consultant can pair you with a guide who shares your interests.
What’s more, all Ireland tours can be made more luxurious if you like. Just ask and we can tailor an itinerary with special castle stays, private airport transfers and more.
Want to stay in Ireland for longer?
If you want to slow down the pace and take in more attractions, we highly recommend extending your Ireland tour to at least 10 days.
With our flexible itineraries, it’s easy to start planning your tour! With 10 days or longer, you’ll get to experience more of Ireland. For instance, you could see the best of the Wild Atlantic Way route or head into Northern Ireland.
When is the best time to visit Ireland?
Ireland is a beautiful country all year long. This means you can’t go wrong when you book your bespoke Irish getaway. That said, for the best weather, we recommend visiting between April and October.
The summer months of June, July and August, are the most popular time of year for visitors. They’re marked by longer daylight hours and warmer temperatures. You’ll also find that attractions also tend to be open for longer at this time of year.
That said, you might find top attractions are very popular. Indeed, Ireland attracts many visitors from around the world, especially in summer.
So, if you’d rather travel when there are fewer visitors around, we recommend visiting in spring or autumn. These shoulder months include April, May, September and October. This way, you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds – quieter attractions and stable weather with plenty of daylight to explore.
Are you interested in exploring Scotland too?
You could combine a tour of Ireland with a trip around Scotland for an epic Celtic itinerary. So you have enough time to dive into the culture of these Celtic neighbours, we recommend at least 12 days for your trip.
As a tour operator specialising in Scotland and Ireland, we offer self-drive and guided itineraries that showcase the best of these nations. Just ask your travel consultant about the tour that’s best for you.
