DISCOVER THE HEART OF NORTHERN IRELAND
Belfast is the capital and largest city of Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom. It is the second largest city on the island of Ireland, after Dublin.
The city played a key role during the Industrial Revolution, becoming a major port and the biggest linen producer in the world (at the time). It is also well known for its shipbuilding industry, as this is where the RMS Titanic was built.
Belfast has a tumultuous past, as “The Troubles” lasted for much of the late 20th century. Nowadays, it is a vibrant city with plenty to discover.
Not only is it a gateway to visit other parts of Northern Ireland, or the greater Irish island, but Belfast is a thriving destination on its own too.
The Northern Irish capital is ideal if you enjoy walking and admiring the architecture. Our local tip is to indulge in the growing food scene.
You can also visit the iconic Titanic Belfast museum, or learn more about Irish history at one of the Ulster Museums. There are also Game of Thrones tours for fans of the books or television series.
